Some of the producers, workshops and hosts on this platform take a limited number of people at a stated time: a walk through a cellar, an afternoon at a loom, a table at a Sunday kitchen. Each of them decides what they offer, how many places there are, and when. This page explains how those places work; the schedules themselves are published by the people running them.
When somebody takes a place, that place is held for them from that moment. It is not a form that somebody reads later and answers in the morning, and it is not a waiting list. That is why the number shown beside a date is the number that is genuinely left, counted from the places already taken rather than from an estimate somebody keeps up to date by hand.
It also means a full morning stays visible as a full morning. Hiding what is fully booked would make a quiet week and a busy one look identical, and a visitor deciding whether to travel is owed the difference.
A start time belongs to the doorway you will be standing in. Every date on this platform carries the timezone of the place it happens at, so "ten in the morning" means ten in the morning there, on the day it happens, including the two weekends a year when the clocks move and an hour is either missing or repeated.
That sounds like a detail until it is the reason somebody arrives to a locked door. It is written down beside every slot rather than worked out by whichever screen happens to be drawing it.
Places, times, group sizes and how much notice is needed to let one go are each set by the organization running the visit, not by this platform. Some hosts need a day to buy in food; some can take somebody who turns up an hour beforehand. What is written on their page is what they have said, and it is what they are answerable for.
The schedules are not published on this site at the moment. The producers and hosts have not gone anywhere: write to [email protected] with the name of the place and roughly when you would like to come, and we will put you in touch with them directly.
