Some of the producers and shops on this platform run a points programme: you collect points on what you buy from them, and you spend those points on things they choose to offer. Each shop runs its own programme, sets its own rate, and decides what its points are worth.
Points belong to the relationship between you and one seller. A shop that wants to thank the people who come back sets a rate, publishes a short list of rewards, and honours them itself. Nothing is pooled and nothing is transferred between shops, because the promise is theirs to keep rather than ours to move around.
That also means an order split between two producers earns twice, once with each of them, at whatever rate each one has chosen. You will see the two amounts separately, named after the shops that gave them.
A reward carries a price in points, and every programme states what one point is worth in money, so you can judge whether a reward is worth saving for without doing the arithmetic yourself. When you take a reward, the price it carried at that moment is what you are charged, and it is written down beside the reward name.
Points are not money. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred to another person, or turned back into cash. What they can be is spent, at the shop that issued them, on the things that shop has published.
Points already collected are recorded and stay recorded. If you have a balance and a question about it, write to [email protected] with the shop name and roughly when you bought, and we will look it up.
